Behind the beach lies one of the most important wetlands areas found on the island. In addition, Son Parc is the only housing development that has a golf course. The Son Parc Development began in 1972; currently, it includes 3,806 units for tourism, spread over approximately 208.77 hectacres. The residential population is estimated to be 401 inhabitants, although during the summer season there may be as many as 3,900. Situation: The Son Parc Development is located on the Arenal Beach of Son Saura, which is found in the Tramuntana Zone (northern coast) of Minorca. How to get there: The only access to the development is by way of the road the goes between Mahon and Fornells (M-7).
