From its coast you can see s'Illot d'en Marçal. This bathing area is the result of a u-shaped sea inlet, surrounded by low cliffs as well as a steep coast. It is also characterized by being very small, it has a rocky surface and it is exposed to the swell and the wind from the east-southeast-south, it has a steep slope, and a sandy ground with seaweed in the central area and rocks on the sides. It is not very crowded by local visitors and tourists, and it is surrounded by residential houses of the village Cap d'en Font. The navigator has to be very careful with the flagstones of s'Illot d'en Marçal, known as Lloses d'en Marçal. Cala Mica is situated at 11 kilometres from es Mercadal (located in front of the natural port with the same name, which continues for four kilometres toward the interior, popular for the lobster fishers and the stew), situated between Cala Ferragut and Punta des Marès, as well as between the beaches of Cavalleria and Binimel.là. This quiet beach is the result of a shell-shaped sea inlet, open to the winds from the north. This beach can only be reached on foot from Cavalleria, where you can park your private car in the surroundings. The accessibility by car is easy until Cavalleria following the signs and the deviations. From here you have to walk on a trail along the steep coast, with no vegetation and quite high rocks around, until Cala Mica. These characteristics explain that the beach is not very crowded by local visitors and tourists. This coastal corner is very frequented by the fishers. The bastion belongs to the walled precinct of Ciutadella and was built during the 17th century on the site of the old medieval wall dating from after the 1287 conquest. The medieval wall was in very poor condition following Turkish plundering in 1558. The bastion of Sa Font was completed in 1692 to protect the gateway of the same name, which was demolished in 1889. It has always been used to store tithes. Once its military role had ended, it passed into municipal control in 1881 and in 1902 it was leased for use as a factory for making acetylene lighting. Up until 1986 it was used as a tap water supply tank. In May 1995, after being restored, it was opened as the headquarters of the Municipal Museum of Ciutadella in Menorca.
Cala Llucalcari is situated at eight kilometres from Alaior ('the menorquin Montpellier'), located between Cap de ses Penyes and Cova de sa Calc. This beach is the result of the confluence of a sea inlet and the mouth of a torrent between canyons. This coastal corner is characterized by having a small size (50 metres long and 30 metres large), and a gravel and sand surface, a rare vegetation on the right side (bushes) and a thicker vegetation typical for wetland at the rear, as well as by being located between cliffs, the rocks on the left side are quite high, abrupt and steep. The southern area of Menorca is cut by about forty canyons, some of them irrigated by torrents, with a contrasting landscape, as well as a rich flora and fauna. The summits are dry because of their sunny exposition, whereas the sides are dark and wet because they are more protected. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are not good because this coastal corner is not very safe. The accessibility by car is easy until the nearby beaches Platges de Son Bou. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. You can also reach this beach with the public transport in the summer season. From Son Bou you can reach Cala Llucalcari on foot after a short one kilometre walk. These characteristics explain that the beach is not very crowded by local visitors and tourists. When the beach has a lifeguard service, you must follow the lifeguards' instructions and the warnings on flags. A red flag indicates dangerous swimming conditions and means that swimming is not permitted. A yellow flag indicates that precaution must be taken, but that swimming is permitted. They say that a notary had built the house on the hole of the Sparrow and then was used by fishermen, smuggling of snuff, coffee and soap in hard times after the war. Traces are accessed from a staircase carved into the rock. Fits easily inside a small BOATS. Once you see the white house on the rock to find the stairs down almost perpendicular to the cave.
