Cala Alcaufar or Cala Alcalfar is situated at five kilometres from Sant Lluís, located between Punta Prima and Rafalet, as well as next to the village with the same name, which goes from the left side to the coastline. This beach is the result of a long, narrow and round sea inlet which is surrounded by medium-high rocky areas on the external stretch, the right natural breakwater is covered by scrubland. Torre d'Alcafar and s'Illot des Torn receive the visitors who enter this sea inlet. It is very small, with a sandy surface, it is exposed to the swell and the wind from the southeast, it has gentle slope, crystal clear water, a sandy ground with seaweed and it is not very crowded by local visitors and tourists. It is also open to the air currents of the second quadrant. Next to the beach there is a jetty for small boats and in the middle of this entrance, in front of Cova d'en Plutó. In this coastal stretch there is a sweet water source that explains that the temperature of the sea is colder here than in the rest of the island. The accessibility by car is easy following the signs and the deviations. The private car can be left on a free parking area in the surroundings. Main technical data 35 meters Type of access: For pedestrians - For vehicles - For boats Average width: 40 meters Access for disabled people: No Degree of occupancy: Low Anchoring zone: Yes

Stunning and quite cova...great for children and adults
my favourite place!
