Cala en Porter is 11 kilometers from Alaior, located between the Esclafat and Ponent hills, as well as next to the urbanization of the same name. To the west of Cala en Porter is Talaia de ses Penyes, built on 68-metre-high cantiles. A huge inlet of the sinuous sea and the mouth of Torrent de Cala en Porter form by touching the mainland a beach in the shape of a shell and a wet area at its back. This stretch of coastline is also characterized by medium dimensions, gentle slope and high influx of local bathers and tourists. This coastal corner is flanked by vertical high cliffs, whose rocks of the right margin are crowned with vegetation and those of the left flank of residential homes. Standing out almost at its tip Cova d'en Xoroi, today a disco with spectacular panoramic views and, in the past, according to the legend, inhabited by a Moor who lacked an ear. The marine and underwater conditions of this sea sleeve do not recommend anchoring boats in bad weather and at night, as it is unprotected from the south-component winds and is shallow. If this manoeuvre is carried out, it is recommended to carry it out near the beach, with a depth of three meters. Access by road is easy following road signs and detours. The private vehicle can be parked free of charge in the surrounding area. In summer, it can be reached by bus. If the beach has surveillance it is obliged to follow the instructions of the lifeguards and the signaling of the flags. The red flag indicates dangerous bathing and implies a ban on bathing. The yellow flag indicates caution, but bathing is allowed. The green flag indicates bathing allowed. The orange flag is used to indicate that the lifeguard is absent. If the beach is not guarded or the service is not operational, be cautious and enjoy the beach avoiding unnecessary risks. Municipal ordinances prohibit access to pets' beaches for safety and hygiene reasons. This beach has the Environmental Certification 14001
