This narrow beach is located closed to the harbour of Ciutadella. To get there, you have to go down quite many stairs. From this beach you can see the castle of Sant Nicolau. It is a beach mostly used by families from Ciutadella.
Cales Pous or Cala Pous is situated at eight kilometres from Ciutadella, located between Punta d'es Single and Nati. It is not an official beach so that there is no vigilance, services or buoys. This coastal corner and the adjacent Cala es Morts are the only coves in the surroundings of Punta Nati. The steep and abrupt cliffs which surround them make them nearly inaccessible. This fact explains that the coastal stretch is not very crowded by tourists. The isolated and virgin sea inlet is characterized by being v-shaped, it has an irregular steep coastline, the beach is rocky, there is no vegetation in the surroundings, and it is exposed to the winds from the northeast-north-northwest, with a gentle breeze, calm water, gentle slope. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are good as well as for diving with oxygen to explore the nearby ship wrecks. This sea inlet is quite deep and there is a rock near the coast, in the entrance. Nevertheless you are recommended to navigate along the menorcan coast only if the sea is calm, because it is very difficult to find safe shelters if the wind is strong. In the surroundings of this coastal corner there is Punta Nati, with the lighthouse with the same name (13 metres high and 42 above the sea level). This is the second north westernmost headland of Menorca. From here the coast goes toward southwest, following this direction until Cap Bajolí (at 2,7 nautical miles). When the beach has a lifeguard service, you must follow the lifeguards' instructions and the warnings on flags. A red flag indicates dangerous swimming conditions and means that swimming is not permitted. A yellow flag indicates that precaution must be taken, but that swimming is permitted. A green flag indicates that swimming is permitted. An orange flag is used to indicate that the lifeguard is absent. Act cautiously when no lifeguard is present or the service is not available and enjoy the beach without taking any unnecessary risks. For health and safety reasons, the municipal ordinances ban pets on beaches. Information about this beach may change. Rocks cala localized in Ciutadella. Its only access is walking and his access is very difficult.
Starting from Son Xoriguer beach, the Camí de Cavalls winds along the coast by Cala Parejals cove.
The tiny double-cove of Cala Biniparratx is only 40 metres long and 30 metres wide. It is located halfway between Binidalí and Cap d'en Font. The Cap d'en Font is a 13 metre long inlet. In this area there is also a camping site with 180 spots; these are only allocated to organisations and associations upon demand.
Cala Barril is situated at 12 kilometres from es Mercadal, located between the Punta with the same name and Cala Calderer. In front of its coast you can see illes 8 des Colom and Bledes (Zona de Especial Protección para las Aves). This isolated virgin beach has no facilities and it is not very crowded, it is the result of a sea inlet which is the origin of a circular beach with reddish sand, pebbles and some seaweed. It is not very big (70 metres long). It is located between cliffs, with a green cover, from the adjacent hills which belong to Àrea Natural d'Especial Interès of the menorcan north coast. The marine and underwater conditions for anchoring boats are not good. There are three islands, Illes Bledes, with a maximum height of 60 metres above the sea level on this archipelago. You are recommended to avoid navigation in the strait between these islands and the coast of Menorca, because there are sandbanks and reefs on the ground. This fact explains that Cala Barril is dirty and there are stones, which go from the south of Illa des Coloms, and close the entrance even for small boats. These characteristics explain that the beach is not very crowded by local visitors and tourists. The visitors who reach this coast come on the seaway or on the trails that join the isolated coves Pregonda (with an interesting system of dunes) and Calderer.
